Heidi Stokes, who completed an MA in Fine Art at Central St Martins in 2001, has been involved in various artistic projects. One of her notable works, ‘Swim to work,’ was a finalist for the BOC emerging artist award in 2005. Heidi has screened her work nationally and internationally, including at prestigious institutions such as the ICA, Barbican, and Watershed in Bristol. She has also been selected for several film festivals recognized by Bafta. In 2017, her film ‘For Ray’ was shortlisted for the Animation NOW finalists and was showcased on the Pompidou Centre website as part of the “MON ŒIL” series.
Mercedes Bunz is a Professor in Digital Culture and Society, King's College London. Her research explores how digital technology transforms knowledge and with it power. She is a member of the Interdisciplinary Network for the Critical Humanities Terra Critica and co-founder of the Creative AI lab, a collaboration with the Serpentine Gallery.

"The 'Unhindered AI' research process is explored through a series of films leading to the animated exhibition and film “Unhindered AI, which visually finalises the concepts into a visually creative animation.
The films include: Visual Training Models, exploring how AI understands and creates images; Re-Adapted, showing how AI crafts recognisable objects/images from textures and details; Cluster Hands, examining how AI organises and interprets information; AI Bias, addressing the ethics of data collection; and Exhibition Concept, curating “Unhindered Ai” creative potential for public display."
